Jacky is currently a junior at Hampden-Sydney College, majoring in Economics and Business. He is a first generation Asian-American immigrant and a product of the American Dream.
At a young age, he developed an entrepreneurial spirit by helping his parents expand their family restaurant into a multi-state Japanese steakhouse chain. Growing up at the family restaurant, he saw the sacrifices his parents made and developed a deep appreciation for education.
In his spare time, he enjoys binge watching Netflix and walking his Pomeranian puppy “Wasabi". In May of 2018, Jacky will become the first one in his family to receive a college degree.
Tanner is a junior at Hampden-Sydney College, majoring in Economics and Business. Originally born in Bend, Oregon, he moved to the Washington, DC area when he was 7 years old.
His mother, being the first in her family to attend college, quickly instilled the importance of education in Tanner from a young age. During his sophomore year, he travelled to the Dominican Republic to help build a school in the village of La Lechosa. Hearing the excitement, and hope for the future that the people of La Lechosa had, he knew that he wanted to dedicate his life to creating this hope for the future throughout the world.
In his spare time, Tanner loves fly fishing, photography, and just being outdoors.
